In the times we see great losses reduced down to numbers and figures, the idea of loss being general, the session invites us to reflect on these themes.
Through academic inquiry, historical and cultural analysis, the session invites all to reflect on,
- How societies/cultures created rituals, meanings that mourn their loss.
- How it creates a relationship with personal as well as cultural memory.
- How vital is it to have a discourse on it in our contemporary global reality?
The session will showcase how we relate to each other. It also attempts to invoke empathy, share perspectives, and develop understanding of others’ meanings.”
